Elevate: Raising the Grade for Food Processing is a two year initiative from Essential Skills Ontario aiming to help bridge the gap between vulnerable adults looking for work and industries looking for workers. Over the past several months, ESO has been working with various community service providers to develop and deliver the curriculum being used to train vulnerable adults across Ontario seeking employment in the food processing industry. To date, two cohorts have been trained for employment at Bonduelle in Strathroy as well as for both Vantage Foods in Bellevile and Canadian Blast Freezers in Quinte West.
