e-Channel literacy is an online means of delivering literacy training that is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU). e-Channel is delivered through five service providers and serves learners in four cultural streams and one sector: Aboriginal, Francophone, Anglophone, Deaf and ACE online. e-Channel literacy delivers self-directed and supported learning for those who may have barriers which restrict them from participating in face-to-face literacy  programs. e-Channel can also be accessed by learners who are already being served by face-to-face literacy and basic skills (LBS) programs, and who wish to supplement their learning online.
