Essential Skills Ontario Board Member & Staff Receive Diamond Jubilee Medals

Essential Skills Ontario is pleased to announce that three members of our Board of Directors and staff were chosen as recipients for the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, as selected by ABC Life Literacy Canada, for their outstanding contribution to the literacy and essential skills field in Canada.

Congratulations go out to Anne Ramsay, Executive Network Director of Project READ Literacy Network Waterloo-Wellington and President & Chair of our Board of Directors; Lesley Brown, Executive Director and John MacLaughlin, Manager of Research and Business Development who have all received the prestigious medal.

"We are honoured to receive these medals," said Lesley Brown, "We hope they raise awareness of all the hard work practitioners and educators are doing across the province to raise the skill levels of adults, as well as the many hardworking adults who are learning to find work, advance their careers, further their education or improve their lives.”
